Josh Giddey ruthlessly compared to Karl Malone by fans over alleged underage girl scandal

NBA fans on Twitter or X can't even wait a little bit to get more thorough information about a case that could potentially end Josh Giddey's career in the league. They have already started making comparisons with another scandal that also involved an NBA legend and an underage girl. We are talking about Karl Malone, who is considered one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. Certainly, he must hate going viral for arguably one of the darkest moments of his life. To give you context, Oklahoma City Thunder's Josh Giddey went viral online after photos and videos of him with an underage girl named Livv Cook were posted on the internet. In the videos, Giddey calls this underage woman 'my girl' while he talks to another man who is presumably her brother. But why are people comparing Giddey with Karl Malone?

What Karl Malone did is much darker than what Josh Giddey is currently being accused of, it had some terrible implications to all involved. When he was playing for the Utah Jazz, there were reports that Malone got a 13-year-old girl pregnant. The 14-time All-Star was accused of statutory rape after he reportedly had a child with the girl when he was still in college. When he attended Louisiana Tech between 1982 and 1985, he had a relationship with a girl named Gloria Bell and gave borth to their son, Demetress in 1984. When that happened, Karl Malone was already 20 years of age. Gloria's parents took Malone to court in 1986 but he was actually nevef charged with any crimes. In fact, the former Utah Jazz star settled the case with Bell's family a few years later out of the court.

Josh Giddey's case is still developing and there are still many unanswered questions but people don't care.
