Shai Gilegous-Alexander and his girlfriend, Hailey Summers, must have thought that they were about to start an exciting new chapter when they moved into an $8.4 mansion.

Instead, it has been a hellish experience for the couple, who have been forced to move out and have stepped into the media spotlight.

That includes Gilegous-Alexander's partner, Summers, who was little known by the media until the high-profile legal case.

Who is Hailey Summers?

Born in Canada on October 22, 1999, Summers was an athlete who played soccer as a defender until 2021.

Summers led the St. Mary's High School soccer team to an indoor Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic Association championship when she was a player.

In addition, she participated in high school basketball and football, helping her team win multiple municipal titles, while in college, she was a full-time soccer player.

In order to attend University of Albany, she left Canada and played soccer for the Great Danes women's team and studied psychology where she was named an America-East All-Rookie and played center defense.

Summers was a key member of the Great Danes squad that won the 2018 America East Women's Soccer Championship, and stopped her soccer career in 2021.

"5 years later... thank you soccer for everything but most importantly thank you for bringing me the best of friends I could ask for ... #2 out," she wrote on Instagram as she hung up her cleats.

What is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander $8.4 million lawsuit?

Shai Gilegous-Alexander's $8.4 million mansion in Burlington, Ontario, is at the center of a court dispute.

The Thunder star has launched a lawsuit in an attempt to reverse the mansion's sale after a menacing visit he had from an unknown individual.

The stranger came to SGA's home to find out where the property's tenant, Aiden Pleterski, dubbed himself the Crypto King, was going.

Last year, Pleterski's venture into bitcoin and foreign exchange investing went south.

Hailey Summers, Shai Gilegous-Alexander's girlfriend, called the police after learning that there had previously been threats to set the house on fire, according to court documents.

After discovering Pleterski's background and the property's problem, the couple left, with attorneys for the guard filing a lawsuit in an attempt to void the property deal.
