SNAP Benefits Payment: Is your next deposit coming before Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

It is no secret that we are coming up to the most expensive and financially tempting time of the year.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the way, whilst Black Friday presents a tough day for those who want to shop but are struggling with their finances.

When it comes to SNAP Benefits, the money obviously is not going to be used on Black Friday deals.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants, known as food stamps, receive benefits through a card called the Lone Star Card, replenished monthly with credits for purchasing healthy foods, excluding items like alcohol and cigarettes.

By using that money on Thanksgiving food, you might have a little left over for the odd Black Friday deal to make life that bit easier.

Will SNAP come early for Thanksgiving?

Unfortunately, there is no precedent for SNAP Benefits being handed out any earlier to account for Thanksgiving, they will stick to the same schedule as normal.
